PRISON RELEASE PROGRAM

If a parolee is given a chance to obtain a job and they have an interview forthcoming, they may come into the store to select an outfit with the assistance of a staff member. At that time, they may choose from the boutique clothing section if it is appropriate wear for an interview.

 

RE-ENTERING THE WORKFORCE

Any one who is re-entering the work force after a divorce, death of a spouse or children are grown and away from home. Bargains will provide clothes suitable for an interview as well as a week’s worth of appropriate work clothes.

 

YOUTH AUTHORITY COMMUNUTY SERVICES

This program is designed to provide a healthy environment for the student to complete the sentencing awarded by the courts, by a judge or a probation officer. The program will attempt to provide the student with direction in work ethics, social ethics, and how to perform in the work place successfully. The program is designed to help build students self confidence, encouraging him/her to make better choices for better consequences. Job training is provided to help the student begin to think on their own what their next job will be.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

This program is designed to provide job training for extra credit at middle school, high school, and college applications. The program provides a safe and healthy environment for each student to learn skills they will be able to use in a future work environment.

 

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS

Agencies throughout the Coachella Valley recommend us to families who are in need of clothiers, furniture, beds, kitchen items, etc. due to the loss of their homes for whatever reason.

EMERGENCY AID

When homeless people come into the store and request clothing, they are allowed one shirt/blouse, one pair of pants, socks and under garments when available, and one pair of shoes. Volunteering for items is encouraged.
